Usage:
1.Chloro-3-chloro-a-intermediate for the synthesis of ethyl organophosphate insecticide coumaphos-4-methyl coumarin.

2.Intermediate ethyl 2-chloroacetoacetate may be used in the synthesis of pesticides

Brief manufacture process:

The preparation method is obtained from acetyl chloride, ethyl α- chloro ethyl acetoacetate.
The thionyl chloride and ethyl acetoacetate in equimolar proportions were dissolved in an adequate solvent, at low temperature, with stirring and negative pressure, the thionyl chloride was added dropwise to a solution of ethyl acetoacetate, and then stirring was continued for several hours. Was washed with saturated brine reactant, points to the water layer, oil layer dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate, and solvent removal, vacuum distillation, collecting 96 ~ 99 ℃ / 4 ~ 4.7kPa vapor effluent, namely α- chloro ethyl acetoacetate.
The reaction can also be used chlorinating agent instead of chlorine gas.
