Was washed with saturated brine reactant, points to the water layer, oil layer dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate, and solvent removal, vacuum distillation, collecting 96 ~ 99 ℃ / 4 ~ 4.7kPa vapor effluent, namely α- chloro ethyl acetoacetate.
The reaction can also be used chlorinating agent instead of chlorine gas.
