Tetrahydrocurcumin is being studied for the treatment of cancer and dementia. It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Tetrahydrocurcumin has been shown to have protective effects against diabetes and vascular dysfunction via alleviation of oxidative stress. Tetrahydrocurcumin is found in the rhizomes of Curcuma longa L. It can be used in cosmetics material.
