Brief manufactured process:

Salicylic acid and benzyl alcohol derived reaction. Sodium salicylate may also be obtained by reaction with benzyl chloride. Sodium salicylate and benzyl chloride in a slight excess in the mixture, a small amount of diethylamine was added, the reaction was heated to 130-140 ℃ 17H, washed with water and the reaction was cooled, excess benzyl chloride was removed by steam distillation, the remaining oil was subjected to vacuum distillation, collecting 170-175 ℃ (0.93kPa) fraction. Yield 85%.
