Triphenyl bismuth (TPB) has been used as the curing catalyst of HTPB propellant. TPB could decrease curing temperature and reduce curing time of the propellant, as well as it has no damaging effect on the performance and mechanics properties. The dosage of TPB is 0.006%-0.05% of total weight for the propellant. Curing time is a week in 50℃ . TPB can be also used as the catalyst of the polymerization for ethyne into cyclooctatetraene, formaldehyde, the curing agent for polycyclochlorides, and other monomers etc.
