Low volatility
2-phenoxyethyl acrylate (PHEA) is a low volatile monofunctional aromatic monomer that provides good adhesion. This product has a combination of benzene ring, ether bond, ethyl, and acrylic ester bond structures, making it a single functional monomer with both soft and hard segment structures. The benzene ring structure accounts for 40% of the overall molecular weight, so when applied in UV curing systems, it can improve adhesion while giving the product a little hardness without losing flexibility, relieving internal stress of the system, and reducing shrinkage rate. In addition, the higher refractive index of this product can also increase the glossiness of the coating. Furthermore, this product has good solubility, low irritation, low viscosity, and excellent adhesion to plastics, metals, and glass. It can be applied in many UV applications.
Typical applications
