Description:
CHIR-99021 (CT99021) is a glycogen synthase kinase 3β (GSK3β) inhibitor that has antiproliferative activity in vitro and in vivo. It enhances reprogramming of mouse embryonic fibroblasts, transduced by Oct4 and Klf4 only, into iPSCs in combination with tranylcypromine. It also induces cardiomyocyte differentiation from human embryonic stem (ES).
