21-Episerratenediol is a natural triterpenoid found in the herbs of Lycopodium serratum, it exhibited a remarkable inhibitory effect on skin tumor promotion in anin vivo two-stage mouse skin carcinogenesis test using 7,12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene as an initiator and TPA as a promoter which indicates that 21-episerratenediol might has the activity of anti-cancer.
