The maleate salt form of Edonerpic, which is a neuroproptectant. Edonerpic is in clinical trials for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD). It inhibits oxidative stress and nitric oxide-induced neurotoxicity and acts as a neurotrophic factor, as well as it may be beneficial for the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders related to oxidative stress, such as Parkinson's disease.
