Description:
BIBF 1202 is the major in-vivo metabolite of BIBF 1120, which is an oral triple angiokinase inhibitor targeting VEGFR, PDGFR, FGFR. It is a related compound of Intedanib, which is an indolinone derivative that inhibits angiokinase and an antitumor agent. It is a novel treatment modality in oncology through blockade of the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) signaling pathway thus inhibition of tumor angiogenesis.
