Description:
Homopterocarpin is purified from the roots of Sophora tonkinensis. Homopterocarpin can inhibit (lower concentration) or kill (higher concntration) humans' liver cancer cells under the cultured condition. Homopterocarpin can contribute to the hepatoprotective and antioxidant potentials of P. erinaceus extract in acetaminophen-provoked hepatotoxicity. (-)-Homopterocarpin has active insect antifeedant against both S. litura and R. speratus and antimitotic effect.
