DescriptionFinerenone is a non-steroidal antimineralocorticoid. It has less relative affinity to other steroid hormone receptors than currently available, which should result in fewer adverse effects like impotence, gynaecomastia and low sex drive. It was developed by BAyer. It is in phase III clinical trials for the treatment of chronic heart failure, chronic kidney disease and diabetic nephropathy.
