Established in 1982, the company Klaus F. Meyer GmbH (KFM) based in Fussgoenheim developed from a one-man business to a renowned supplier of chemical raw materials, fine chemicals, chemical intermediates and chemical specialties for the pharmaceuticals, photographic, agricultural, paints & coatings, fragrances, cosmetic, textile and general chemical industry.
2005 KFM founded an own office in Shanghai-Puxi, China where two Chinese employees are successfully sourcing chemical raw materials.
With some 200 customers in more than 40 countries around the world, including many well known chemicals industry companies in Germany, Europe and elsewhere the Klaus F. Meyer GmbH is one of the leading suppliers for chemical raw materials, intermediates and special chemicals.
We are specializing in two types of business: In the field of classical stockholding, we supply our customers around the globe from our warehouses at Mannheim, Hamburg and Vlaardingen, near Rotterdam. Thus we can guarantee just-in-time-deliveries according to our customer’s premises. Direct business, on the other hand, takes place between the manufacturer and the customer, with no intermediary. Another special-feature of our company are door-to-door deliveries in Isotank containers including very dangerous goods (corrosive, toxic, etc.), in order to keep the entire logistics under our own control. A fixed and much honored basic principle of our company is that only laboratory tested chemicals are used. We also perform quality audits at the manufacturer's site.
Handling of samples, re-packing of Trifluoromethanesulfonic acid as well as preparing derivatives of Trifluoromethanesulfonic acid we perform in our rented laboratory in chem2biz on the site of BASF SE in Ludwigshafen / Rhine (www.chem2biz.de).
In this laboratory we also have the possibility to work under air free and dry conditions in a Nitrogen atmosphere so we can handle sensitive and delicate chemicals.
The long standing business relationships with customers and suppliers of the major chemicals industry throughout the world bear witness to integrity, honesty, reliability and responsibility.
Since about 8 years now the EU legislative EC 1907/2006 (REACH: Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals) is effective. Regarding to the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) about 13.000 substances have been registered in the meantime. Klaus F. Meyer has registered all relevant substances which are imported in the appropriate quantities. For the 2018 registration deadline we are preparing the registration dossiers early in advance so that our substances will be registered on time.
Another relevant legislation is the EU legislative EC 1272/2008 (CLP: Classification, Labelling and Packaging) for which all transition periods ended on 31.05.2015. Klaus F. Meyer GmbH is compliant with all the legislation. For the special requirements of dangerous goods we have two employees trained as Hazardous Goods Advisor in our head office.
High priority is given in quality assurance which is proved by our recurring certification in ISO 9001:2008.
