There are two isomers, 2,4-toluene diisocyanate and 2,6-toluene diisocyanate (TDI). According to the content of two isomers, there are three industrial specifications of products: (1) tdi-65 contains 2,4-tdi65%, 2,6-tdi35%; (2) Tdi-80 contains 2,4-tdi80% and 2,6-tdi20%, which is the most common; (3) Tdi-100 contains 2,4-tdi100%. It reacts with water to produce carbon dioxide. Easy to interact with compounds containing active hydrogen atoms. Linear polyurethane or polyurethane resin is formed by reacting with diols.

1. It is used as raw material for various polyurethane materials, such as soft foams, coatings, cast elastomers, paving materials, waterproof coatings and adhesives.
2. Used for modifying TDI, dimer, trimer, adduct prepolymer, etc.
