| Description of Coenzyme Q10
|
| A a small molecule organic compounds, Coenzyme Q10 exists in the mitochondria of animal and plant cells widely. Also, Coenzyme Q10 plays an important role in the human respiratory chain proton thanslocation and electron transfer. Scientists reported that the content of Coenzyme Q10 in the body gradually decreased after 20 years of age. In 50 years of age, the content of Coenzyme Q10 would be the half of in the age of 20. In clinical, Coenzyme Q10 is used as an important antioxidant and immune enhancer, curing heart disease(such as myocardial infarction, stenocardia), cardiac arrhythmia, sinus tachycardia, premature beats, high blood pressure, acute and chronic viral hepatitis, and sub-acute pulmonary necrosis. Coenzyme Q10 exerted therapeutic effects on viral hepatitis, sub-acute hepatic necrosis, cerebral edema induced by fulminant hepatitis, including extending the survival time and decreasing mortality of patients. Also, Coenzyme Q10 is useful in comprehensive treatment of cancer by improving the immune function of patient.
